Dorothy Philips was president and chief executive officer of Philips Healthcare Communications, Inc., a communications and marketing agency in the healthcare industry for more than 20 years. Dr. Philips had been president of Barnum Communications, an advertising agency in the healthcare field, and senior vice president of Deltakos, the former healthcare agency of J. Walter Thompson. In 2013, she was elected to the Medical Advertising Hall of Fame.
She has a BA in economics from Wellesley College and an MBA and PhD degrees from New York University Stern School of Business.
Dr. Philips is the communications chair of the Business Leadership Council of Wellesley College (BLC) and has served on the board of the BLC and the Wellesley Centers for Women. She is currently a senior consultant for the National Executive Service Corps, providing management consulting services to nonprofit organizations.
