Lighthouse Guild is participating in Giving Tuesday

On November 29, 2016, Lighthouse Guild is participating in Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving. Giving Tuesday, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, was established to balance the frenzy of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This celebration of giving harnesses the power of social media to bring about real change in our communities!

Lighthouse Guild is using its Instagram, Facebook and Twitter platforms to spread the #GivingTuesday message and to highlight our mission: Through the integration of vision and healthcare services and the expansion of access through education and community outreach, our innovative and comprehensive approach helps people with vision impairment and other disabilities achieve and maintain the highest possible level of function and independence.
Your donation on #GivingTuesday will help thousands of children, adults and families. It will provide access to specialized schools, educational services, resources and support to children with vision loss and other disabilities along with the families who care for them; accessible music instruction and technology for students who are blind or visually impaired; training in Orientation & Mobility and assistive technology training so people with vision loss can remain independent and productive. All this in addition to Lighthouse Guild’s world-class vision clinic, behavioral health services, Adult Day Health Care Services and vision rehabilitation services that help keep people mentally and physically agile.
