The Alaska Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired is a training and resource center helping equip Alaskans with vision loss with the skills they need to succeed in life and in work. As the only non-profit vision rehabilitation center in Alaska, the center provides services for independent living, employment, and visual assistance, including assisted daily living, orientation and mobility training, assistive technology training, manual skills, vocational services and worksite evaluations, blindness sensitivity training, low vision clinics, support groups, and a rural outreach program. The Alaska Center also runs the Visually Impaired Senior Alaskan Program and The Bright Path Program for Youth (for individuals ages 15 -22).
