Connecticut Radio Information Systems
The Connecticut Radio Information System, Inc. (CRIS) is a non-profit radio-reading service that serves people with vision loss and others who are print-challenged. CRIS Radio broadcasts 24 hours a day, seven days a week and features articles published in more than 70 newspapers and magazines, including award-winning children’s magazines, available online and on-demand. CRIS provides a variety of audio recording services for people with visual, learning, emotional, intellectual, or physical disabilities. Programs include CRIS Radio, CRIS Streaming (in hospitals and other healthcare facilities, such as nursing homes and assisted living facilities), CRIS On Demand, CRIS Kids, CRIS Access (in museums), and CRIS in Espanola.
