The New Jersey Consortium on Deafblindness (NJCD), a program of the Center on Sensory and Complex Sensibilities of the College of New Jersey, is a federally funded organization which provides community support to meet the educational needs of students who are deaf-blind. The program features professional development activities including anchored technical assistance, topical training, information and resources, and an intensive intervener training program. The Center on Sensory and Complex Sensibilities focuses on conducting research, professional development, and the creation/promotion of professional practices related to the education, habilitation, and support of people with varying degrees of vision and/or hearing loss, as well as people with low-incidence disabilities.
