Queens Borough Public Library, Special Services
The Queens Library serves 2.3 million people from 62 locations, plus seven Adult Learning Centers and two Family Literacy Centers. It circulates among the highest numbers of books and other library materials in the country. Among these services, the Queens Library offers various loan programs for people with disabilities, including mail-a-book services for the homebound, closed-circuit television, and a TTY loan program. Volunteer readers record print materials on cassettes, supplementing other Talking Books services.
