Technology-Related Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities (TRAID) Program, NYS Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs
Through a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Community Living, the New York Justice Center administers the Technology-Related Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities (TRAID) Program. TRAID coordinates activities throughout New York State to increase access to and acquisition of assistive technology for education, employment, community living, and information technology/telecommunications. The program serves individuals of all ages and disabilities. The Justice Center supports 12 Regional TRAID Centers (RTCs) which provide information, training, device demonstration, reuse, exchange, and loans. In addition, the Justice Center TRAID Program and RTCs provide technical assistance and advocacy on how to obtain and use assistive technology services and devices.
